Topic-by-topic revision tracker for AP SSC Class 10 Telugu (First Language) — Grammar, Prose, Poetry, and Writing Skills. Check off each topic before your BSE AP exam.
వ్యాకరణం (Grammar) — High Weight
High- సంధులు (Sandhis): స్వర సంధి, వ్యంజన సంధి, విసర్గ సంధి — rules and common examples
- సమాసాలు (Compounds): తత్పురుష, కర్మధారయ, బహువ్రీహి, ద్వంద్వ, ద్విగు సమాసాలు — identify and form
- క్రియలు (Verbs): కర్తరి, కర్మణి, భావే ప్రయోగాలు — active/passive/impersonal voice in Telugu
- అలంకారాలు (Figures of Speech): ఉపమ, రూపకం, ఉత్ప్రేక్ష, అతిశయోక్తి — identification and examples
- ఛందస్సు (Prosody): ఆటవెలది, సీస పద్యాలు — గణాలు (metrical feet) for common metres
- తెలుగు వ్యాకరణం: నామవాచకాలు, సర్వనామాలు, విశేషణాలు, విభక్తులు — cases (vibhakti)
గద్యం (Prose) — High Weight
High- All prose lessons in the AP SSC Class 10 Telugu textbook — read each lesson at least twice
- For each lesson: identify main characters, plot summary, theme (ముఖ్య విషయం), and author (రచయిత) details
- Comprehension questions from prose: answer in Telugu with correct grammar
- Character descriptions (పాత్ర పరిచయం): write 5–6 sentences about important characters
- Note-making from prose: identify main idea, key events, and conclusion
పద్యం (Poetry) — High Weight
High- All poems (పద్యాలు) in the textbook — memorise each poem by rote for exact quotation
- For each poem: poet (కవి) name, work (గ్రంథం) it is from, meaning (అర్థం), literary devices used
- Explanation (వ్యాఖ్య): write the meaning of 4–6 lines of verse in simple Telugu prose
- Appreciation (కావ్య సమీక్ష): language, imagery, message of the poem — 6–8 sentences
- Central idea (కేంద్ర భావం): 2–3 sentences summarising the theme of the poem
ఉపవాచకం (Supplementary Reader) — High Weight
High- All lessons in the AP SSC Class 10 Telugu Supplementary Reader (ఉపవాచకం) — read each one thoroughly
- For each lesson: story summary (కథాంశం), main characters, and the central message
- Essay-type (వ్యాసరూప) questions are commonly asked from the supplementary reader — practise full-length answers
- Objective and short-answer questions based on incidents and characters in each lesson
- This component carries 20 marks — do not neglect it in favour of the main reader
వ్యక్తీకరణ / రచన (Creative Expression) — High Weight
High- వ్యాసరచన (Essay): introduction → 2–3 body paragraphs → conclusion; 200–250 words
- ఉత్తరం (Letter): formal (అధికారిక) and informal (అనధికారిక) letter formats in Telugu
- సంభాషణ (Dialogue): 8–10 exchanges on a given topic in natural Telugu
- సారాంశం (Summary): reduce a given passage to 1/3 length in own words
- సృజనాత్మక ప్రశ్నలు (Creative questions): based on prose/poetry lessons — written as a letter, dialogue, or essay
