Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding legal agreement between you and Eco Software Consultancy Services, a sole proprietorship registered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India ("ClearSteps," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the website clearsteps.co.in and any related services, applications, and content (the "Platform"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

The Platform is intended for students preparing for CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. - If you are below 18 years of age, you may use the Platform only with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By registering, you represent that such consent has been obtained. - If you are a parent or guardian registering on behalf of a minor, you represent that you have the legal authority to do so and that you accept these Terms on behalf of the minor.

You agree to: - Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. - Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with anyone. - Notify us immediately at admin@clearsteps.co.in of any unauthorised use of your account. - Not create multiple accounts to bypass subscription limits or in any fraudulent manner. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these requirements.

- Subscriptions are offered at the prices displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase. Prices are inclusive of applicable Goods & Services Tax (GST) at 18% unless stated otherwise. - Payment is processed through our authorised third-party payment gateway (Razorpay). By making a payment, you agree to the gateway's own terms and authorise us to charge the amount stated. - A subscription grants you access for the duration specified at the time of purchase (e.g., one year per subject). - Subscriptions do not auto-renew unless explicitly stated and consented to at the time of purchase.

Refunds are governed by our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: you may request a full refund within 2 calendar days of subscription purchase, provided that you have not accessed more than 25% of the subscribed content during this period. After the 2-day window, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. To request a refund, email admin@clearsteps.co.in with subject line "Refund Request — [your registered email]", your Order ID, and the reason for refund.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, ClearSteps grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform and the content within it for your personal, non-commercial educational use only. You may not: - Reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or commercially exploit the Platform's content (including question papers, solutions, predictive analyses, video content, and study materials) in any form. - Sell, rent, sublicense, or transfer your account or access credentials. - Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract source code, algorithms, or underlying data. - Use the Platform to train any artificial intelligence or machine learning model. - Upload viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt the Platform. - Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.

(a) Our intellectual property. All content on the Platform — including but not limited to predictive question papers, skill analyses, tier classifications, the proprietary algorithm used to predict examination patterns, software, design, layout, branding, and the marks "ClearSteps™" — is the exclusive intellectual property of Eco Software Consultancy Services. The ClearSteps trademark application is currently pending registration with the Indian Trade Marks Registry. (b) Third-party content. The Platform references portions of curriculum and pattern data from publicly available CBSE board examination papers and NCERT textbooks. We rely on the educational use exceptions under Section 52 of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, where applicable, and use only short references, paraphrased content, or analytical commentary. We do not claim ownership over these third-party materials. (c) User-generated content. If you submit feedback, comments, or other content through the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and analyse it for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform. We will not publish your name or identifiable information without your consent.

ClearSteps is an independent edtech platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), or any other government authority. The predictive papers, skill analyses, and study tips provided on the Platform are based on patterns derived from publicly available historical board examination data. We make no guarantee, warranty, or representation that any specific question, topic, or skill will appear in any future board examination, or that use of the Platform will result in any specific score or grade. The Platform is a supplementary study aid intended to support, not replace, structured classroom learning, NCERT textbooks, or guidance from teachers and parents.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law: - The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. - Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. - We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of educational outcomes, or loss of data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law (such as liability for fraud or wilful misconduct).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eco Software Consultancy Services, its proprietor, employees, and agents against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your violation of any third party's rights.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, if: - You breach these Terms. - Your use poses a security risk. - We are required to do so by Indian law or a regulatory authority. You may terminate your account at any time by writing to admin@clearsteps.co.in. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as provided in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Before initiating legal action, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute by writing to our Grievance Officer at admin@clearsteps.co.in. We will acknowledge within 24 hours and respond within 15 days.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by email and/or via a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Copyright & Takedown Policy, and any other policies referenced on the Platform, constitute the entire agreement between you and ClearSteps.
