Based on 10 years of CBSE Class 10 Science board papers, these are the diagrams that appear year after year — in every paper, every cycle.
Biology Diagrams (Highest Frequency)
- Human heart — 4 chambers, valves, major blood vessels
- Nephron — Bowman capsule, glomerulus, convoluted tubules, collecting duct
- Human digestive system — mouth to anus with all glands
- Reflex arc — receptor, afferent nerve, spinal cord, efferent nerve, effector
- Human brain — cerebrum, cerebellum, medulla oblongata
- Male and female reproductive system
Physics Diagrams
- Ray diagrams for concave mirror: object at C, beyond C, between F and C
- Ray diagrams for convex lens: all 6 cases with image characteristics
- Series and parallel electric circuits with ammeter and voltmeter positions
- AC generator — coil, magnets, slip rings, brushes
Chemistry Diagrams
- Electrolysis of water — apparatus, electrodes, gas collection
- Distillation apparatus
Tip
For Biology diagrams, use pencil and draw large — fill at least half the page. Label with straight horizontal lines. CBSE awards 1 mark per correct label. Missing one label = losing 1 mark.
Diagram Practice Method
- 1.Study the diagram in textbook carefully
- 2.Close the book and redraw from memory
- 3.Check against textbook — mark any missing labels in red
- 4.Repeat the next day until you score 100% from memory
