How to Check Your Result

1

Go to cbseresults.nic.in

This is the official CBSE result portal. Results are also available on cbse.gov.in and via the DigiLocker app. Avoid third-party 'result check' websites — they often show incorrect data.

2

Enter your roll number and school code

Your roll number is printed on your admit card. School code is the 5-digit number on your admit card. Keep the admit card handy before checking results.

3

Download and save your result PDF

Take a screenshot and save the PDF immediately — result portals often go down due to traffic right after declaration. This provisional result is usable for most college applications.

4

Collect official marksheet from school

The original marksheet is issued by your school on behalf of CBSE, usually within 1–2 weeks of result declaration. This is the document colleges require — the online result is provisional.

5

Access DigiLocker for digital certificate

Your Class 12 marksheet and pass certificate are available in your DigiLocker account (digilocker.gov.in) linked to your Aadhaar. This is accepted as the original for most purposes.

July (if eligible) · Nominal CBSE exam fee

Compartment Exam

For students who fail in 1–2 subjects. Passing compartment gives separate pass certificate.

How do I apply for re-evaluation or verification of marks?

CBSE offers three post-result options: (1) Verification of marks — fee ~₹500/subject, results in 10–15 days; (2) Obtaining photocopy of answer sheet — fee ~₹700/subject; (3) Re-evaluation — only after getting photocopy. All must be applied online within the specified window after result declaration.

What is the Compartment exam and who can appear?

Students who fail in 1–2 subjects (but pass overall/with grace) are eligible for the Compartment exam. CBSE conducts it in July. Passing the Compartment exam gives you a 'Compartment Pass' certificate, not the regular pass certificate.
