What exactly is a Case Study Question?

New CBSE format since 2021 — appears in every board paper.

Example — Class 10 Science

“Rohan noticed that a nearby pond had green coloured water and a foul smell. On investigation, it was found that a nearby fertiliser factory was discharging waste into the pond. The pond had excessive growth of algae and most fish had died.”

Q1. What phenomenon is causing the excessive growth of algae? (1 mark)
Q2. Name the process responsible for the green colour of the water. (1 mark)
